Our client came to us with a very specific need to develop an adaptable passenger seat/luggage rack into their new bike design. We rose to the challenge bringing our experience in product styling, engineering and mechanism design, materials and  analysis to the table, ultimately delivering the production design.

The process included multiple rounds of FEA analysis to reduce part weights while maintaining structure to meet stringent safety standards. Material selection was key for maximum comfort for the rubber overmolded cast Aluminum back plate. These capabilities coupled with our experience in complex surfacing techniques allowed us to maintain form and design intent for the grab handles ultimately providing maximum styling, comfort and manufacturability.
